St. Croix EDC was launched in 1993 as the independent economic development arm of St. Croix County. As an IRS 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization, the EDC operates as a ‘business league' comprised of a diverse set of members that work to improve the area's business climate. Reflective activities of St. Croix EDC include business retention, business expansion, business recruitment, and new business incorporations. As businesses expand here, the county and our EDC members ultimately prosper.

The EDC's membership is comprised of public sector supporters (i.e. the county, cities, villages, and towns) and private sector supporters (banks, utility companies, general contractors, service companies, and manufacturers, etc.).

Annual memberships dues range from $100 (for individual and new members) to $250, $500, $1,000 and above.

Private sector members are allowed a potential deduction on their respective federal tax returns. Membership contributions to the St. Croix EDC may be deductible as trade or business expenses if ordinary and usual in the conduct of the taxpayer's (i.e. the company's) business.
